Spendesk’s CEO to step down, replaced by Jellysmack’s Axel Demazy
Former Jellysmack exec Axel Demazy has been unveiled as the new CEO of Paris-headquartered spend management platform Spendesk.
Demazy takes the reigns from Rodolphe Ardant, who has led the company since its inception in 2015.
Ardant, who remains the platform’s president, is moving into an advisory role, and will now focus on product strategy.
This is while Demazy has been tasked with overseeing operations and the “day-to-day structuring” of the business, according to a statement.
The new CEO joins from US tech firm Jellysmack, which specialises in creator promotion through multi-platform distribution. There, he acted as chief operations officer (COO) and general manager for four years.
Speaking on his immediate priorities in his new position, Demazy emphasises that he has a “clear goal” of “achieving profitability by 2025”.
Founded in 2016, Spendesk claims to serve over 200,000 users across Germany, Spain, France and the UK, and previously acquired the French Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) procurement platform Okko in April.
