Katz excels in leading global engineering teams and architecting intricate IT environments. He has been instrumental in championing cloud adoption within the financial services industry, spearheading the successful design and implementation of private and hybrid cloud solutions.
Beyond his technical prowess, Katz is a recognized thought leader within the financial services technology community and industry events, sharing his expertise on cloud computing, data management, and other crucial topics. He has also served on advisory boards for technology giants such as Cisco, EMC, and Data Dynamics, solidifying his commitment to shaping the future of the industry.
Michael Cutler
Fractional CTO, SC Ventures
Michael Cutler is Fractional CTO at SC Ventures, bringing a unique blend of expertise in AI, blockchain, and sustainable tech innovation. With a career spanning over two decades, Michael has been at the forefront of emerging technologies, most recently as a Fractional CTO at KPMG’s Digital Village venture studio in Singapore.
An entrepreneur at heart, Michael co-founded an AI start-up in 2012, with clients including Spotify and Intel. In 2017, he launched another carbon credit tokenization venture on public blockchain, integrating it into retail point-of-sale systems at Unilever / Ben & Jerry’s stores in London for a “guilt free ice-cream” customer experience – an early example of using blockchain for environmental impact.
Michael is deeply committed to leveraging technology for social good. He actively engages in projects tackling Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) challenges, collaborating with development banks and NGOs. As a guest lecturer at Singapore Management University and a mentor in the start-up ecosystem, he’s passionate about nurturing emerging talent, sharing knowledge and experience.
His recent focus has been on the ethical implications of AI, the intersection of technology and sustainability, and the potential of Web3 technologies to transform industries.
Prag Sharma
Global Head, Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence, Citi
Dr. Prag Sharma leads Citi’s Global Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence (AI CoE). He is one of only 10 Citi Tech Fellows globally. He us a resident expert in Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning (AI/ML) across the organisation. As such, Prag has led the development of Citi-wide best-practices from a Governance, Risk & Controls and Technology perspective in AI, addressed AI-related infrastructure and tooling needs across the organisation and enabled state-of-the-art AI design, development and use at Citi across all its businesses.
Prag represents Citi externally and has led numerous high-profile engagements with clients, global regulators, trade bodies, regional/ other advisory committees and external experts in the world of AI. Prag has led R&D teams and technology consultants in both industry and academia for over 15 years, working on emerging technologies with start-ups and multinationals in the Financial Services, Health, Technology and Pharmaceutical sectors. He also co-founded two start-ups in his previous life. Prag holds a PhD in Machine Learning (Computer Vision) and an MBA, majoring in Innovation.
