UK regtech Novatus Global lands new $40m growth investment for US expansion
UK-based regulatory technology provider and compliance advisory specialist Novatus Global has secured a $40 million investment from US growth equity firm Silversmith Capital Partners.
As part of its investment, Silversmith’s managing director Todd MacLean and principal Ned Kingsley have also joined the Novatus board of directors.
Novatus says it will use the funding to boost its international expansion plans, with a particular focus on North America, as well as “invest deeply in the technology” underpinning its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform.
The platform, called Novatus En:ACT, enables banks, asset managers and other financial institutions to “ensure accurate, complete, and timely transaction reporting” across all global reporting regimes.
Alongside its regtech offering, the company also employs a fleet of technical advisors to provide specialised advice to clients to help them comply with regulatory obligations, including risk and ESG programmes.
Founded in 2019, Novatus is headquartered in London, UK, and opened its second office in Sydney, Australia, in 2023.
The company’s latest investment builds upon the £4 million previously secured by the firm from Maven Capital Partners in 2022.
