Rimes hires Gus Macfarlane as new chief operating officer
Rimes, a US and UK-based provider of enterprise data management solutions for the global investment community, has named former Barclays exec Gus Macfarlane as its new chief operating officer (COO).
In his new position, Macfarlane will be responsible for scaling the firm’s global operations and enhancing client delivery.
Rimes CEO Brad Hunt says that Macfarlane’s “deep expertise in operational strategy and transformation will be invaluable as we continue to evolve and scale our business”.
Macfarlane joins from Barclays, where he spent over six years in various managing director roles, concluding his tenure as MD of transformation, strategy, and innovation.
His career history also includes roles such as head of commercial at Sky, global commercial director at Transcom, and MD of commercial operations at Experian, where he served for four years.
Founded in 1996 and headquartered in New York and London, Rimes offers a variety of data management solutions for institutional investors, asset managers, and service providers, including ESG and ETF data management services and an investment management platform called Matrix.
The company previously appointed Theo Bell as head of its AI product division last September.
