India’s Cashfree Payments hires Nitin Pulyani as new head of product
Indian paytech Cashfree Payments has appointed former PhonePe director Nitin Pulyani as its new head of product and senior vice president (SVP).

The Bengaluru-based payments firm says Pulyani will oversee product development for the company with a focus on “products and solutions that cater to the evolving needs of businesses both in India and globally”.
The appointment comes as Cashfree, which claims to process over $80 billion worth of transactions for more than 6 million businesses every year, is actively seeking to expand its presence in the UAE region through payment service provider Telr, which it acquired in 2021 for $15 million.
Pulyani previously served as director of products for ride-hailing platform Ola and chief product officer for small business lender NeoGrowth before joining payments giant PhonePe as director of product management in 2018.
He later went on to serve as product leader for challenger bank Jupiter. He joins Cashfree directly from an advisory position at consumer finance company Fab Money.
Cashfree says Pulyani is one of two “strategic additions” to its personnel made in recent months. The paytech previously hired ex-RazorPay SVP Harsh Gupta as chief revenue officer in June.
