HSBC digital chief Ashief Danga leaves for AXA Health
Ashief Danga has left HSBC after eight years to take up a new role as transformation director at AXA Health.
Danga has served as the bank’s head of digital for global markets since 2016.
Announcing his decision to “take on a new challenge” on LinkedIn, Danga describes his tenure at HSBC as “a journey full of learning and change”, adding that he feels “privileged to have had the opportunity to lead such a great team and work with so many fantastic people”.
A later LinkedIn post by Heather Smith, CEO of AXA Health, reveals that Danga has now been hired by the firm as transformation director, with his appointment coming into effect “later this month”.
“His fantastic experience and expertise will be instrumental in helping us achieve our ambitions and ensure greater focus on our transformation journey,” Smith writes.
Responding to this, Danga says he is “really pleased to be joining the team”.
“With so much opportunity to continue building on the great work already underway, and to innovate and add value to our customer and colleague experiences, we have exciting times ahead of us,” he adds.
