Fibabanka debuts first BaaS platform in Türkiye with GetirFinans
Digital bank Fibabanka has launched what it claims to be Türkiye’s first Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform, with tech start-up GetirFinans the solution’s first taker.
The platform provides non-banking businesses in the country with the infrastructure needed to offer tailored financial services to their customers.
The solution has now made its debut with GetirFinans, the new financial services offering of on-demand delivery services platform Getir.
Through GetirFinans, integrated within the Getir app, users will now be able to access a range of banking services, including account management, card issuance and payment options powered by Fibabanka’s digital infrastructure and supported by over 500 APIs.
“As consumer expectations around financial services evolve, businesses are seeking ways to offer seamless and integrated experiences through their own platforms,” comments Fibabanka GM and board member Ömer Mert.
“Our BaaS model responds directly to these demands by enabling businesses outside the banking sector to access financial infrastructure easily.”
Beyond Türkiye, Fibabanka says it will now look to extend the model to more industries and geographies in due course, “starting from the UK”.
“Fibabanka will continue to build on this model, offering new collaborations that meet the needs of our partners and their customers,” Mert concludes.
