UK’s Tandem Bank hires former JP Morgan exec Adi Kadle as director of engineering
Former JP Morgan executive director Adi Kadle has joined UK digital bank Tandem as its new director of engineering.
He joins the digital bank following a 14-year tenure at JP Morgan, where he first served as VP of information technology before ascending to the position of executive director of information technology in 2015.
This latter position saw Kadle head technology at JP Morgan’s markets foreign exchange (FX) and over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives business, which settles over a million trades valued at $650 billion per day for clients.
Prior to this, Kadle acted as vice president of Morgan Stanley for over seven years, working on the bank’s equity and fixed income trading desks in Asia and EMEA.
Writing about his latest appointment on LinkedIn, Kadle says he plans to “help lead our journey in transforming our omni-channel strategy, including our app and website”.
In addition to the appointment of Kadle, Tandem has also hired Catherine Diamond as chief people officer, Darvish Heshejin as director of strategic growth, and Marriam Malik as company secretary and general counsel.
Meanwhile, the digital bank’s chief internal audit officer, Steve Peacock, is moving to the newly created role of director of internal controls and customer outcomes.
Alex Mollart, CEO at Tandem, describes the company’s latest hiring spree as “another great step in the development of Tandem”.
Elsewhere this year, the digital bank welcomed Maria Khan, also formerly of JP Morgan, as its new director of product and digital in January, before hiring former Railsr exec Suavek Zajac as its new CTO in May.
