SME-focused neobank Ampere launches card-to-card payments in partnership with Mastercard
UK-based neobank Ampere has partnered with Mastercard to bring card-to-card payment capabilities to its SME customers.
Ampere claims card-to-card payments powered by Mastercard facilitate conversions in over 60 different currencies “at a faster and cheaper rate than traditional banking systems”.
The solution’s go-live with the neobank is set to mitigate the “inconvenient delays and complications” associated with international payment processes.
Ampere, founded in 2022 and based in London, provides business banking services to start-ups and SMEs throughout the UK and EU, including multi-currency merchant accounts, debit cards, loans and mortgages, and invoicing and fund management services.
Kris Krupecki, commercial director at Ampere, says the addition of a card-to-card payment offering will enable the neobank’s SME customers to “seamlessly expand their own financial and operational growth through cross-border transactions”.
“At a time when SMEs are facing a raft of challenges, whether economic or operational, they can rely on Ampere for a tailored, integrated and efficient banking partner,” continues Krupecki.
Ampere’s new collaboration with Mastercard continues what appears to be an ongoing focus on a strong and stable partnership strategy.
This year alone, the neobank has formed partnerships with business loan providers YouLend, Cubefunder and Iwoca, before coming together with brokerage firm Access Financial Services in May to expand its remit with commercial mortgages.
