Credit Union of America boosts ATM network with NCR Atleos partnership
Credit Union of America (CUA), headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, has partnered with NCR Atleos to trigger a “significant expansion” to its ATM network and enhance cash access services for its members.
This expansion is being led by the $1.5 billion-asset credit union’s addition to Atleos’ Allpoint Network and the 55,000 surcharge-free ATMs it supports.
With this, CUA now boasts an ATM network of over 85,000 locations, which it claims is “more than Chase and Bank of America combined”.
“This exciting collaboration eliminates the hassle of ATM fees and expands your banking convenience,” the credit union’s statement on the partnership reads.
“Members can now make ATM transactions conveniently and securely at familiar locations like your neighbourhood Walgreens, Target, CVS, and many more.”
Dan Umscheid, VP of payments solutions and strategy for CUA, comments: “As part of our ongoing expansion, we wanted to provide options for meaningful physical interactions even when there isn’t a branch nearby, while also ensuring our members always have reliable, surcharge-free access to cash.”
Umscheid says the partnership with Atleos has enabled “a cost-effective, easy way to connect with members from the safety and convenience of trusted retail locations”.
“We will be able to enhance our national presence while delivering safe, convenient physical touchpoints that strengthen member relationships,” he continues.
Among the US financial institutions already connected to the network are Florida-headquartered Seacoast Bank, and VyStar Credit Union, which is also based in Florida and secured its partnership with Atleos in March this year.
