Thunes hires former Worldpay exec Sigrid Hulsebosch as new CFO
Former Worldpay chief Sigrid Hulsebosch has been hired as the new CFO of Singapore-headquartered B2B payments infrastructure firm Thunes.
Hulsebosch will take charge of Thunes’ financial strategies and global finance function, with financial planning, treasury, tax, reporting and investor relations included in her new remit.
She is to work alongside COO Chloé Mayenobe and directly with CEO Floris De Kort, both of whom assumed their current positions within the last year.
Thunes says Hulsebosch brings “over two decades of financial leadership experience in controlling, management, and financial accounting” to the role of CFO.
She has previously fulfilled the same position for laboratory equipment supplier Malvern Panalytical for the past four years.
Before this, she worked for five years at Dutch bank ING, where she ended up as head of assets under management and deputy CFO, before later joining Worldpay as CFO, where it’s said she “supported the company’s growth and highly successful IPO”.
Speaking on her latest appointment to Thunes, Hulsebosch says she will now work to “steer the company’s financial operations and seize the immense growth opportunity ahead”.
De Kort adds that Hulsebosch’s “deep experience in the payments industry and banking will be instrumental as we continue to grow and scale Thunes”.
This growth has most recently been realised through the firm’s proposed acquisition of Tilia, which was announced in April and is expected to secure Thunes’ footing in the US online gaming market.
