Outpayce selects Mambu to power new multi-currency digital wallet service
Outpayce, the travel payments division of Spanish IT group Amadeus, has chosen Mambu’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud banking platform to power its new multi-currency digital wallet service.
The B2B travel paytech, which was recently granted an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licence from the Bank of Spain, will utilise the platform to handle large transaction volumes and current accounts for the service.
Werner Van Ravesteyn, Outpayce’s head of enterprise products, platforms and services, explains that the company’s application of the platform, via a cloud-native, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) approach, will pertain specifically to “managing multi-currency accounts and supporting electronic fund transfers across a large number of payment schemes”.
“Mambu’s SaaS model means updates to the platform happen in real-time, allowing us to focus on building solutions, while it takes care of the back-end maintenance,” he says.
Going forward, Outpayce aims to leverage its EMI licence to expand its payment services across Spain and throughout the EU.
Outpayce concluded its statement on the new partnership by announcing that the Mambu implementation is currently underway, with plans to go live “in the coming months”.
