Black Hills Federal Credit Union tasks NCR Atleos with ATM management in new agreement
Black Hills Federal Credit Union (BHFCU) has sought to “transform self-service banking” for the more than 110,000 members it serves throughout South Dakota, US, by tapping its partnership with NCR Atleos.
As part of this effort to “simplify operations and replace an ageing ATM fleet”, the $2.3 billion-asset credit union has opted to leverage its partner’s ATM-as-a-Service (ATMaaS) and ITM-as-a-Service (ITMaaS) solutions.
The NCR Corporation subsidiary will now take charge of the hardware, software, security, installation, maintenance, cash management and processing needs incurred by BHFCU’s self-service banking channels.
“It remains critical that members are able to easily access cash and other financial services whenever they need it,” comments John Buxton, CIO of BHFCU.
He says designating the management and maintenance of self-service channels to NCR Atleos has enabled the credit union to widen members’ access to financial services while also “streamlining business processes and reserving employee time and focus for strategic initiatives”.
“Plus, this move will enable us to more quickly and efficiently launch new innovations for members, creating a better overall experience,” adds Buxton.
BHFCU joins a growing list of US-based credit unions to tap NCR Atleos for its ATM management technology, including Grow Financial Federal Credit Union, VyStar Credit Union, and most recently, Arizona Financial Credit Union in April.
