Acrisure names NYSE vice chairman John Tuttle as new president
New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) vice chairman John Tuttle is set to join US insurance and business solutions fintech Acrisure as its new president, effective 1 September 2024.
To be based out of the company’s headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Tuttle will report to Acrisure co-founder, chairman and CEO Greg Williams.
Acrisure says his appointment coincides with a wider push for “innovation-driven transformation” at the company, with the new president’s leadership to help define “a modern approach to client service in financial services and insurance”.
“John’s experience in the global arena will complement our entrepreneurial team, and his work in both the public and private sectors position him as a strong advocate for our company and clients as we continue to transform and grow,” comments Williams.
Tuttle has spent the last 17 years at the NYSE and its parent, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), during which time he held a variety of leadership positions.
These include managing director of global affairs and government relations, head of corporate affairs, global head of listings, COO, CCO, and since July 2022, vice chairman of the NYSE and president of its market advocacy platform, NYSE Institute.
During his tenure, Acrisure says that Tuttle was involved “in nearly every line of business” at the NYSE, including IPO listings, issuer relationship management, equity offerings, capital markets and exchange-traded products.
Founded in 2005, Acrisure specialises in the brokerage and delivery of customised solutions across insurance, reinsurance, payroll, benefits, cybersecurity and mortgage services. It currently employs around 17,000 staff in 21 countries and boasts yearly revenue of almost $5 billion.
