US fintech Momnt names Chris Bracken as new CEO
Momnt, an Atlanta-based fintech focused on lending solutions and B2B payments, has promoted from within by appointing its current chief revenue officer (CRO), Chris Bracken, as its new CEO.
Bracken succeeds current CEO and co-founder Barclay Keith, who is stepping down after over five years in the role. Keith will continue to be involved with the company as a special advisor to the board, where he is expected to provide “insight and guidance” and spearhead “special projects”.
Speaking on the firm’s incoming CEO, Lena McDearmid, co-founder and COO at Momnt, says Bracken’s “deep understanding of the consumer lending landscape and proven track record in driving growth make him an invaluable partner”.
Additionally, according to a company statement, Momnt states its new boss will help “capitalise on recent disruptions in the moment-of-need lending industry”.
Bracken has been with Momnt for the past four years, serving as its CRO. Prior to joining Momnt, he spent over six years as CEO of the US-based consumer finance company Patriot Finance.
Founded in 2019, Momnt specialises in embedded lending solutions for the home improvement and healthcare lending sectors, leveraging AI-informed decision engines and alternative data sources.
The news of Momnt’s leadership change comes hot on the heels of the firm securing a $15 million investment round that was supported by Saluda Grade Ventures, Rockefeller Asset Management, and TruStage Ventures last September.
