Saxo welcomes back Andrew Bresler as new UK CEO
Saxo UK, a subsidiary of Danish multi-asset trading and investment firm Saxo, has appointed Andrew Bresler as its new CEO, effective 3 June.
Stig Christensen, Saxo’s chief commercial officer, says Bresler brings “a deep understanding of our industry, products, platforms, and clients” to the position, reinforcing his “great confidence in the future success for our UK business, where we have ambitious growth plans”.
Bresler, who takes over from interim CEO Simon Camilleri, previously served as a member of Saxo’s APAC leadership team. He held the position of deputy head of sales trading in the firm’s Singapore office from 2016 to 2018.
Following his tenure at Saxo, Bresler remained in Singapore to serve as Citibank’s regional head of brokerage, portfolio finance and digital investments for APAC and EMEA.
Most recently, he was with US-based global wealth and asset management solutions provider InvestCloud, where he advanced through the ranks to ultimately serve as the chief revenue officer and deputy general manager of the company’s APAC division.
Founded in 1992, Saxo Group claims to manage in excess of $100 billion in client assets and that its investment solutions serve over 120 financial institutions. Its Saxo UK subsidiary has operated in London since 2006.
