Pierre-Yves Guegan named as new COO of CCF Group in France
Former UniCredit head Pierre-Yves Guegan has been hired as the new COO of the French banking group, Crédit Commercial de France (CCF Group).
Previously operated under the My Money Group brand, CCF Group provides a broad range of financial services, including specialised financing, credit consolation – and since its acquisition of HSBC’s regional retail banking unit earlier this year – current accounts and savings products.
As the Paris-headquartered group’s new COO, who describes himself as being “passionate about retail banking transformation”, Guegan is expected to leverage his over 20 years of industry experience to oversee CCF’s newly restructured operations across all sides of its expanded remit.
He assumes the post directly from Italian commercial bank UniCredit where, over his most recent six-and-a-half-year tenure, he served first as head of retail digital channels for Central and Eastern Europe, before moving to head of retail with a focus on the same region.
This was after he had previously served as the bank’s CEO of consumer financing between 2009 and 2012, before taking up the role of deputy CEO and COO of customer business development, digital and innovation for RN Bank in Russia.
However, his career in banking first found its footing with BNP Paribas where, for over seven years, he served a variety of positions throughout its personal finance subsidiary, including risk and operations director and COO.
Announcing his latest appointment with CCF Group via LinkedIn, Guegan says he “[looks] forward to contributing to the bank’s success” and is “grateful for the trust placed” in him by the company.
