CTBC Bank Philippines partners Hitachi Asia for digital banking revamp
CTBC Bank Philippines has partnered with Hitachi Asia to redesign its web interface and mobile banking applications as it bids to “bolster access to digital financial services and foster greater financial inclusion in the Philippines”.
The bank has worked with Hitachi Asia to introduce its revamped digital interface, Retail NetBanking, in an effort to improve the mobile banking experience for its members by “facilitating convenience and ensuring peace of mind”.
CTBC Bank Philippines says that its upgraded platform now offers a user-friendly dashboard with a unified view of users’ financial products, customisable features and personalised widgets, enabling users to prioritise the information that “matters most to them”.
Moreover, the redesigned interface includes upgraded security features to provide stronger protection of user data. For instance, the bank is integrating device recognition technology and implementing a time-based One-Time Password (OTP) system to bolster its defences against unauthorised access.
Commenting on the new partnership, CTBC Bank Philippines’ president and CEO, Oliver Jimeno, says that by partnering with Hitachi Asia, “we are creating a banking platform that is not only more convenient and faster, but also significantly more secure and user-friendly”.
Founded in 1995, CTBC Bank Philippines, a subsidiary of CTBC Bank, provides a range of financial services such as peso deposits, corporate loans, cash management, and more.
Looking to the future, the bank says it intends to introduce “even more security features”, including biometric authentication for transactions.
