Beem Credit Union teams up with VeriPark to elevate digital banking capabilities
Beem Credit Union, a Canadian credit union launched this year, has partnered with UK-based software developer VeriPark to upgrade its digital capabilities.
Based in British Columbia, Beem Credit Union projects that the collaboration will enable it to become the foremost “people-first, digital-first credit union in the province”.
Brian Harris, president and CEO of Beem Credit Union, states that the move is part of a “responsibility” to deliver a digital experience that enables its members to continue their “personal definition of financial wellness”.
Founded in 1998, VeriPark offers financial institutions a range of products to improve their retention, cross-selling and customer acquisition capabilities, including its branch automation, loan origination, customer engagement and omni-channel delivery solutions.
Ozkan Erener, CEO of VeriPark, asserts that the firm’s Intelligent Member Experience suite, built on Microsoft Dynamics and Azure, enables credit unions like Beem Credit Union to “put member experience at the core of their digital transformation”.
Beem Credit Union was launched by Gulf & Fraser and Interior Savings on 1 January, and claims to be the second-largest provincially regulated credit union in British Columbia, serving over 160,000 members with around $10 billion in total assets under administration.
It recently announced the appointment of Sue Britton as its new chief innovation officer. Prior to joining, Britton served as CEO and founder of Firefly Growth, a fintech consultancy service.
