Apex Group names Ken Fullerton as new global head of operational transformation
Financial services firm Apex Group has appointed Ken Fullerton as its new global head of operational transformation.
Fullerton will be responsible for the company’s operational delivery and improvement division, specifically focusing on technology and business process initiatives and enhancements driven by client needs.
Additionally, he has also been tasked with managing the firm’s global service centres.
Fullerton joins Apex Group from SS&C GlobeOp, a division of SS&C Technologies, where he served as COO of fund administration for nearly 20 years.
Prior to this, he held senior leadership positions at the likes of UBS, Deutsche Bank, and US-based community bank State Street Bank.
Christopher Mulhern, group product and operations officer at Apex Group, asserts that Fullerton’s appointment represents “one of the final steps” in the restructuring of the firm’s “product/operations”, which he says began in January of this year.
Apex Group is based in Bermuda and provides financial institutions, asset managers, family offices and private clients with financial services including bank accounts, fund administration, depositary, payroll, ESG ratings, digital onboarding and fundraising solutions.
Last year, it acquired the fund administration software firm, Pacific Fund Systems (PFS), for an undisclosed amount. The group aimed to expand its use of the platform “to enhance the delivery of timely, accurate and independent portfolio accounting, fund and investor reporting”.
