Traydstream hires Microsoft’s Stephan Hufnagl as new CTO
Traydstream, a trade finance technology provider headquartered in the UK, has appointed former Microsoft head Stephan Hufnagl as its new chief technology officer (CTO).
Hufnagl will be responsible for the fintech’s “technology strategy” and is expected to drive its “product development efforts forward”, asserts Sameer Sehgal, CEO of Traydstream.
The new CTO brings to the position over 20 years of industry experience in cloud architecture, business strategy and engineering, as is to join directly from Microsoft, where he has most recently served as director of technical specialists and oversaw the analytics, data and AI teams of the US technology giant.
Prior to this, he also spent several years at Google, finishing his tenure as the data analytics practice lead for Google Cloud in the EMEA region.
Hufnagl’s new employer, Traydstream, automates trade documentation, extracts data, and with machine learning, validates transaction documentation for financial institutions through its cloud-based platform.
Last year, the fintech raised $21 million during a Series B funding round, which was earmarked to develop its platform further and expand its technology stack.
