State Bank of India deploys HCLSoftware tech to digitise customer communication
State Bank of India (SBI) has inked a new five-year deal with HCLSoftware in an effort to digitise its customer communication channels.
Operating under Indian IT consultancy HCLTech, HCLSoftware will lend its HCL Unica platform to SBI to “digitally transform its customer interaction framework and provide hyper-personalised communication” across its multiple marketing channels.
The platform will leverage the Mumbai-based bank’s aggregated customer data alongside AI technology and “comprehensive campaign management tools” to assist in running digital marketing campaigns, which are intended to increase SBI’s customer engagement and relevance.
It’s expected that SBI – the largest bank in India – will utilise the platform to further promote a series of recently-actioned developments to its product suite and services.
Examples of these developments in action include its ongoing partnership with ACI Worldwide to scale its payment rails and point of sale (POS) terminals, its engagement in the Reserve Bank of India’s pilot of a wholesale digital rupee, and most recently, the replacement of its cash management product platform with Aurionpro’s iCashpro+ solution.
