Revolut aims to boost global workforce to 11,500 by end of 2024
Revolut says it is planning to increase its global headcount by 40% to around 11,500 staff over the course of 2024.
The UK challenger started the year with a workforce of 8,000 and says that it has so far increased this figure to surpass the 10,000 mark.
With Revolut’s latest industry announcement, the digital bank will now look to further this figure to 11,500 by the year’s end. Currently, it has over 70 live job listings posted online for roles predominantly across its sales, customer support and financial crime teams.
Revolut posted its first full year of profitability in March 2023 and announced the appointment of Francesca Carlesi, who previously served as CEO of digital mortgage lender Molo, as its new UK CEO in November.
Speaking on its latest recruitment drive, Carlesi claims that to support Revolut’s growth, “it is essential that we recruit the best talent from across the industry”.
“As our home market, the UK is at the centre of Revolut’s growth, and is an integral part of not only the company’s expansion locally but also internationally,” she says.
While the company continues to wait for its UK banking licence – which it first applied for in January 2021 – it did secure a banking licence from Mexico’s National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) earlier this month to operate a neobanking subsidiary in the country.
