Kneip names ABN Amro Investment Solutions exec Elisa Alonso Sanz as new CEO
Kneip has hired ABN Amro Investment Solutions (AAIS) executive Elisa Alonso Sanz as its new CEO, effective 1 July.
Sanz is to take up the reins of the Luxembourg-headquartered firm, which provides fund data management and reporting solutions to over 10,000 funds across the asset management industry, from Enrique Sacau, who has served in the position since 2020.
Philippe Seyll, chairman of Kneip, says the new CEO has been tasked with leading the firm’s “next phase of growth”, and that she will be expected to leverage “a wealth of experience from the client side” in satisfying this remit.
Much of her immediate experience is derived from her tenure as COO of the investment solutions arm of ABN Amro, a position she has served for almost four years.
She also worked for the Dutch bank’s private banking unit during a three-year stint as its chief risk officer, which ended in 2017 after she joined financial services firm State Street as its head of control, governance and regulatory compliance.
Prior to this, she worked at a number of global firms including Nomura, EY, Euroclear and BNP Paribas, where she made her industry debut back in 2000.
Commenting on her latest appointment, Sanz says she will endeavour to support Kneip’s clients and “deliver on our opportunities of growth”.
Founded in 1993, the firm has operated as a subsidiary of Deutsche Börse since its acquisition by the German capital markets exchange in March 2022.
