Jordan Kuwait Bank digitises transaction banking functions with iGTB platform
Jordan Kuwait Bank (JKB) has partnered with Intellect Global Transaction Banking (iGTB), the transaction banking arm of Indian banking tech provider Intellect Design Arena, to implement its Digital Transaction Banking (DTB) offering.
The $7.3 billion-asset commercial bank is leveraging the DTB platform to enhance its existing transaction banking channels with new digital capabilities for its corporate and SME customers.
These enhancements will apply to areas including cash management, payments, and the bank’s trade finance functions. The bank will also utilise iGTB’s Digital Customer Experience suite (CBX) and mobile banking services to upgrade its digital offering throughout the corporate financial supply chain.
The endeavour is being underpinned by the open finance platform eMACH.ai, which was launched by Intellect Design Arena last year.
JKB’s pursuit of an improved digital experience – as promoted under the Jordan Vision 2025 – has so far seen it engage with a variety of different vendors and technologies.
Less than two years ago, the bank announced that it had partnered with UAE-based vendor Codebase Technologies for its Digibanc platform, which is currently supporting its digital onboarding service as well as its issuance of credit cards.
The platform was integrated into JKB’s existing IT and core banking infrastructure, credit bureaus, and national ID database.
