Gigs appoints former Stripe exec Rishi Sachdeva as new head of fintech
Gigs, a Telecom-as-a-Service (TaaS) platform based in San Francisco, US, has named Rishi Sachdeva as its new head of fintech.
Sachdeva will oversee Gigs’ fintech strategy and expansion, with a focus on “overseeing key partnerships”.
He succeeds the role from Rafael Plantier, who will now act as Gigs’ head of go-to-market.
Hermann Frank, co-founder and CEO of Gigs, says Sachdeva’s “knowledge and networks” will enable the platform to capitalise on what he claims is a “surge of interest” among fintechs looking to embed its solution.
Before joining Gigs, Sachdeva worked at fintech heavyweight Stripe, serving as the business payment platform’s head of GTM partnerships and business development for six years. He also acted as head of developer partnerships and platform product at Betable.
Founded in 2020, Gigs enables financial institutions to offer mobile and data plans alongside credit or debit cards, claiming to be the world’s first TaaS platform.
Sachdeva’s appointment adds to a growing list of leadership additions at Gigs this year, joining Steven van Bommel, who assumed the role of head of finance in January.
