Encompass Corporation promotes VP Stuart Barnard to CFO
UK regtech Encompass Corporation has promoted Stuart Barnard, its VP of finance and business operations, to the position of chief financial officer (CFO).
Effective this month, Barnard is to take “ultimate responsibility” for the KYC solution provider’s global finance and business operations in the newly created position and will lead the firm’s legal, finance, people, revenue operations, IT and information security functions.
Barnard was first hired by the regtech back in 2016 as head of finance at its division in Sydney, Australia.
He then moved to the company’s London office in late 2018 to assume the position of VP of finance, before ascending to his most recent role in December 2022.
Speaking on Barnard’s promotion, Wayne Johnson, co-founder and CEO of Encompass, describes his expertise as “vital” to the successful execution of the company’s strategy to date, while also praising the “diverse, high-performing talent that he has brought into his teams”.
The regtech’s appointment of a new CFO comes hot on the heels of its appointment of Neil Acworth as chief information security officer (CISO) last month.
The company has also been active on the acquisitions front this year, snapping up both CoorpID and Blacksmith KYC from ING in January.
