ConnexPay names Ben Peters as new CEO, Bob Kaufman to become chair of the board
US paytech ConnexPay has appointed Ben Peters as its new CEO, with company founder Bob Kaufman transitioning to the role of chairman of the board of directors.
Speaking on the appointment of his successor, Kaufman claims that Peters’ “proven track record of growing and scaling companies” along with his 20 years of experience in the payments sector make him an “optimal fit for our next chapter”.
Prior to joining ConnexPay, Peters held the position of interim president at VikingCloud, a US-based cybersecurity firm. Before that, he served as COO at VPay, a digital platform for insurers to process claim payments, for over six years.
Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Florida, ConnexPay offers an end-to-end acquiring and issuing solution and claims to be the first and only company to integrate payments acceptance and issuance within a unified platform.
Primarily targeting the e-commerce and travel sectors, the company’s payments solution enables businesses to accept payments from clients and issue payments to suppliers with single-use virtual cards.
Peters’ appointment adds to a series of notable C-suite additions made by ConnexPay in recent years. In 2022, the fintech welcomed Blair Jeffery as its new chief operating officer, and in October of last year, George Hansen was appointed as its new chief revenue officer.
