Société Générale deploys iGTB’s Corporate Treasury eXchange solution
French banking group Société Générale has implemented Intellect Global Transaction Banking’s (iGTB) Corporate Treasury eXchange (CTX) platform.
The banking tech vendor says that its CTX solution will provide Société Générale with a “suite of tools for corporate treasurers” and will enable the firm to “automate real-time liquidity management across multiple accounts, in multiple currencies, held at multiple banks in multiple geographies”.
CTX’s real-time liquidity management capabilities were a key factor for the French bank when choosing to partner with iGTB, with Société Générale’s head of payments and cash management, Nicolas Cailly, stating it is an “increasing area of focus” for the financial organisation.
The cloud-native CTX solution automates the process of transferring cash balances, which the fintech says can help benefit the “cash pooling experience” for corporate clients, from enhancing forecasting and visibility to streamlining investments and sweeping.
Société Générale’s new software partnership comes hot on the heels of the banking group’s announcement that it is to cut around 900 jobs at its head office in Paris, in a move which the group says will streamline its decision-making by eliminating “hierarchical layers”.
