ieDigital, Connect FSS and Abaka to integrate under single identity with Rami Cassis named new CEO
UK-based fintech ieDigital is forming a “single identity” with two recently acquired companies, Abaka and Connect FSS, and has appointed its current executive chairman, Rami Cassis, to take the lead as CEO.
The companies have until now operated as three separate divisions, led by CEO Jerry Young, who has held the position for over six years.
With Young now due to retire from the post, he is to pass the reins to Cassis, who has acted as an investor and member of ieDigital’s senior leadership team since 2012, when his family office, Parabellum Investments, acquired the fintech.
The new CEO brings extensive chairman experience to the role, having held the position at several enterprises including Razor Risk, Advanco SA, and US-based IT consulting and services firm MajorKey Technologies.
Commenting on the planned integration, Cassis asserts that the rapid assimilation of the companies will provide numerous benefits to the businesses’ customers, including improved product functionality and “greater scale of both development and implementation resources”.
IeDigital’s current client list includes a range of UK and US banks, credit unions and building societies, including Suffolk Building Society, which tapped ieDigital for its Interact solution last year.
