Enfuce appoints new CPTO to help accelerate global expansion plans
Finnish card issuer and processor Enfuce has appointed Philip Mikal as its new chief product and technology officer (CPTO).
The new CPTO will be responsible for introducing new products and technology solutions while helping the firm accelerate its global expansion goals.
Enfuce attributes Mikal’s appointment to his “deep understanding of global regulatory, cultural, and technological landscapes”, an insight the fintech believes will be critical in broadening its international presence and expansion plans.
The industry veteran has vast C-suite experience, before joining Enfuce Mikal co-founded and was CPO of Majority, a digital financial vendor focusing on migrants in the US.
Prior to this, Mikal served as CTO and COO of ChangeSmart, CEO of TrustBuddy, CPO of Rebtel, and also acted as VP of product management at Klarna.
Commenting on his appointment, Mikal says his new company has a “focus on scalability, security and global impact”, stating that his appointment comes at a “pivotal time” in its journey.
Enfuce’s efforts to expand are noted through its recently-granted UK EMI licence from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and its previous appointment of Laurence Krieger as chairman of its UK board of directors.
