Wealth management firm JM Finn hires new chief operating officer
Wealth management firm JM Finn has announced the appointment of Mark Haines as its new COO, who started at the beginning of January.
The former chief technology officer for Brewin Dolphin brings over 20 years of financial management experience to the role.
He previously worked as a consultant for Alpha Financial Markets Consulting, before moving on to Scottish investment firm Abrdn where he progressed to the position of integration programme director.
The UK-based firm states that Haines will be “responsible for business transformation and change and have the Operations, IT and Projects departments”, and will report directly to JM Finn’s CEO, Hugo Bedford.
Commenting on the new COO’s appointment, Bedford comments: “Mark’s arrival has already helped us put some more rigour and structure in place for the various strategic projects that are in flight”.
“I’m certain his experience will serve us well as we look to continue enhancing our client proposition.”
Headquartered in London, the private investment firm claims, as of 31 December 2023, to manage over £10.6 billion in funds on behalf of its 18,500 clients.
Additionally, JM Finn has announced that, alongside Haines, it has also appointed a new head of projects, Andrew Dunkin, who joins the firm from Investec Wealth & Investments.
