Colombia’s Simetrik secures $55m Series B round led by Goldman Sachs
Colombian B2B payments solutions platform Simetrik has announced the successful completion of a $55 million Series B funding round, led by Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Founded in 2019, the Bogotá-headquartered fintech develops solutions to streamline financial operations, such as reconciling accounts, consolidating records, managing accounting tasks and generating reports. Its offerings are based on the firm’s generative AI and no-code development concept, Simetrik Building Blocks (SBBs).
“This funding enables us to elevate our SBBs, integrating more advanced and secure AI to deliver unparalleled financial automation solutions,” says Simetrik’s co-founder and COO, Santiago Gómez.
In addition, Simetrik plans to utilise the funds raised to broaden its global presence and target prominent payment firms and consumer platforms.
“The plan is both ambitious and complex, but we believe in the company’s ability to continue redefining expectations”, asserts Carlos Torras, a partner at FinTech Collective, a participating round backer.
Simetrik claims to monitor over 200 million records daily and to be active in over 35 countries, highlighting the servicing of “key Asian markets” such as India and Singapore.
The recent round was joined by Cometa, which led its seed round, and by FinTech Collective, which led the firm’s $24 million Series A funding round in 2022. Additionally, firms such as Actyus, Catalyst, Endeavor, Falabella Ventures, Mercado Libre Fund, Moore Strategic Ventures, and the co-founders of Vtex, participated in the round.
