UK fintech Cushon appoints Ellen Louw as new chief financial officer
London-based workplace savings and pensions fintech Cushon, which was acquired by NatWest Group in a deal worth £144 million last year, has appointed Ellen Louw as its new chief financial officer (CFO).
Louw brings nearly 25 years of experience to her new role and joins from UK news publisher Reach, where she served as commercial finance director for almost three years.
Prior to joining Reach, she worked as head of commercial finance and corporate development at WorldRemit and spent a decade at financial services giant American Express in several senior finance-based roles. Earlier in her career, Louw also worked as a senior manager at PwC.
In her new role, Louw has been tasked with overseeing the fintech’s expansion efforts in the corporate pensions space, according to Corporate Adviser, as well as helping to scale its product and engineering teams.
Commenting on the new appointment, Ben Pollard, founder and CEO at Cushon, says Louw brings “expertise and years of industry knowledge to her role”.
Pollard adds that 2023 was “a landmark year for Cushon” and that Louw’s “strong understanding of consumer behaviour will prove invaluable as the company looks to further enhance member experience and deliver positive outcomes”.
