Oshkosh Community Credit Union taps Sharetec for core processing solution
Oshkosh Community Credit Union (OCCU), which provides financial services to workers and residents of Winnebago County in Wisconsin, USA, has selected Sharetec to upgrade its core processing capabilities.
The partnership follows what the credit union describes as “an extensive search” for a suitable core processing solution as it looks to improve the usability of its current system and keep up to date with new technology developments.
As a result of its selection, OCCU says it expects to benefit from a range of new features, including the ability to scan cheques, cross-selling, e-receipts, loan payment reversals, dashboards, collections, indirect lending, and access to third-party integrations and Sharetec’s Home Banking service.
Jennifer Strange, president and CEO of OCCU, claims the system provides more automation and better insight into member information while praising its compatibility and user-friendliness, with this latter quality being described as a distinct benefit as “most of us have never done a core conversion before”.
“We were looking for compatibility and the feeling that we are as important as anyone else,” Strange adds.
OCCU joins the 280 other credit unions that have previously adopted Sharetec’s systems, including Maine Family Federal Credit Union, North Iowa Community Credit Union, Fond du Lac Credit Union, and more recently, Logan Cache Rich Credit Union.
