VersiFi hires two senior execs from Hazeltree to boost tech and infrastructure development
US-based digital asset firm VersiFi has named Sol Zlotchenko and Daniel Zayfman as the latest additions to its executive team as it looks to further develop the technology and infrastructure behind its institutional-grade trading and lending platform.
This development push will be headed by Zlotchenko as the company’s new chief product and technology officer (CPTO). He joins from Hazeltree, a provider of treasury management solutions for investment management firms, where he held the same position.
VersiFi says his 25-year industry experience has been centred on “building and scaling technology solutions”, specifically in regard to hedge funds, private market investments, asset optimisation and data analytics.
In anticipation of his new remit, Zlotchenko says the “market ecosystem” being built today will “reduce the risks in the overall system” tomorrow, while still enabling innovation and speed, which he claims are synonymous with digital assets.
Likewise, as VersiFi’s new chief information and security officer (CISO), Zayfman will complement Zlotchenko’s efforts by overseeing the firm’s systems, networks, security and applications infrastructure.
Like Zlotchenko, he also joins from Hazeltree, where as chief information officer (CIO) he was responsible for delivering its IT infrastructure and services, information security systems and compliance initiatives.
Zayfman says he plans to build “the most advanced IT infrastructure available in the market today”, and that in order to attract the attention of institutional investors, digital asset firms must be founded on “robust IT infrastructure and security”.
Founded in 2022 and based in New York, VersiFi offers institutions a “plug-and-trade” platform for trading and lending digital assets, as well as custody services provided by its third-party partners.
