The Bank of London names Frankie Woodhead as new chief product officer
The Bank of London has named Frankie Woodhead as its new chief product officer (CPO), effective immediately.
With 15 years of experience working across business, corporate and retail banking, Woodhead joins from 10x Banking, where he worked for more than five years in various senior roles, most recently as its vice president and general manager of retail and SME banking.
Prior to that, he spent a decade at UK banking giant Barclays, where he held product director positions spanning SME lending, growth, authentication, payments and customer servicing.
Commenting on the appointment, Anthony Watson, group chief executive and founder of The Bank of London, says Woodhead’s “extensive experience and forward-thinking mindset” will help the firm make banking “safer for its clients” as it looks to grow its presence in its home market and outside the UK.
To that end, The Bank of London submitted its application for an EU banking licence in Luxembourg in July this year.
“Having seen the direct client and customer impact of financial crises, it’s clear the world of banking needs to be fundamentally changed to be safer and more transparent,” says Woodhead. “Not lending, investing or leveraging any deposits makes The Bank of London a safer home by design for client and customer money.”
