Chloé Mayenobe joins paytech Thunes as chief operating officer
B2B cross-border paytech Thunes has appointed Chloé Mayenobe as its new chief operating officer (COO).
Thunes describes Mayenobe as a “seasoned tech leader” who brings a “wealth of expertise in transforming and scaling payments firms” to the company.
With more than 20 years of experience, Mayenobe joins Thunes from fintech company Solaris, where she served as COO from January this year. Prior to that, she held the role of deputy CEO at Natixis Payments for over three years.
Mayenobe previously spent over 12 years at French payments firm Ingenico Group in several senior roles. Her early career also includes stints at Capgemini and Deloitte.
Commenting on the appointment, Peter De Caluwe, CEO of Thunes, says Mayenobe “has helped many companies leapfrog to the next level of their journey”, adding that he hopes to see her “advance Thunes to new heights, and help us get closer to our mission to make cross-border payments more accessible and efficient for all”.
The appointment follows the company’s $72 million Series C funding round which was completed over the summer.
Thunes’ previous COO, Tamer El-Emary, served in the role for two years from September 2020 to August 2022.
