UK paytech PPRO promotes Motie Bring to CEO
UK-based digital payments infrastructure provider PPRO has promoted Motie Bring, its current chief commercial officer (CCO), to chief executive officer (CEO), effective 2 October 2023.
Speaking on his appointment, Bring says he aims to lead the company “into a new era for payments” and usher in PPRO’s next phase of growth.
Bring boasts over two decades of experience in the payments industry. He joined PPRO as CCO in March of this year, after performing the same role for the Canadian fintech firm Nuvei since September 2020.
Prior to this, he held a variety of senior positions at merchant acquirer Worldpay during a seven-and-a-half-year tenure.
“With his passionate, customer-centric approach, breadth of payments experience and proven track record of developing, guiding and inspiring teams, Motie is the ideal leader to take PPRO to the next level as we focus on the many exciting growth opportunities that lie ahead,” says Lázaro Campos, chairman of the PPRO board.
Bring is to succeed Simon Black as CEO, who announced his intention to step down from the position in May after almost nine years with the company. The board reports that it conducted “an extensive external and internal search process” in order to determine his successor.
“The business is well-positioned to accelerate growth and I have no doubt that, under Motie and the new leadership team, PPRO will go from strength to strength,” says Black.
