Onfido appoints Daniel Keller as chief technology officer
Automated identity verification firm Onfido has appointed Daniel Keller as its new chief technology officer (CTO).
Bringing over two decades’ worth of leadership experience, Keller joins Onfido from Europe’s Visable Group, where he served as CTO for over six years, overseeing innovation across product development, engineering, IT and business intelligence.
Onfido notes that under his direction, the company “transformed from a B2B directory provider to Europe’s leading B2B marketplace”.
Over the span of his career, Keller has also held senior roles at Scout24, Ciao!, Zanox, Axel Springer, Hitfox and Microsoft. He has also worked with various start-ups, including Berlin-based Solarisbank, where he helped lay the groundwork for its banking-as-a-service (BaaS) platform.
As CTO of Onfido, Keller will be expected to “keep the company at the forefront of digital identity innovation and maintain the company’s growth trajectory.
“The digital identity space has been building momentum over the last decade and is now set to take the world by storm,” comments Keller.
“How we verify ourselves online is fundamental to digital experiences and Onfido is leading the markets, constantly innovating, delivering new AI and biometrics-based solutions to keep fraudsters at bay while enabling businesses to build long-term relationships with their customers.”
Mike Tuchen, CEO of Onfido, adds that Keller “is a real asset” to the executive team.
“His strength as a technical but strategic leader, who understands how to manage investments across a multi-product portfolio will be invaluable to Onfido as we continue to grow.”
