Erez Barak joins Israeli SaaS fintech Earnix as chief technology officer
Isreali fintech Earnix has named Erez Barak as its new chief technology officer (CTO).
Described as a “seasoned technology executive” with 22 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, big data, artificial intelligence (AI), developer platforms and enterprise productivity, Barak will head the fintech’s research and development (R&D) and analytics teams in his new role.
He joins Earnix from the machine data analytics, operations and business intelligence company Sumo Logic, where he served as general manager and VP of engineering from May 2021. Prior to this, he held various engineering, product and executive positions within Mercury Interactive, Optify, Microsoft and HP.
Robin Gilthorpe, CEO of Earnix, says Barak will seek to “evolve the platform and broaden our capabilities” in line with its agenda of “accelerated innovation and the operational application of AI at scale”.
Based in Givatayim, Earnix operates an analytical enterprise Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that enables banks and insurers to use AI-enabled data to direct how they design products and set prices. A $75 million funding round led by Insight Partners tipped the fintech into unicorn status in 2021, two decades after it first began operating.
