Commencement Bank integrates Allied Payment Network digital payments into CSI core
Commencement Bank, a US-based community bank, has tapped Allied Payment Network for real-time digital payments.
Allied’s solution is set to be integrated with the bank’s core banking platform from CSI, which it adopted earlier this year after being “faced with a core conversion”.
Based in Tacoma, Washington with over $580 million in assets, Commencement Bank was formed in 2006 “to provide traditional, reliable, and sustainable banking” to individuals and businesses in the area.
It had been used Allied’s payments solution since 2021 to facilitate its core banking capabilities, and actively encouraged its new partner CSI to integrate the solution following the bank’s previously “positive” experience.
“At the time, CSI didn’t have an active integration with Allied,” comments Tricia Ott, SVP of operations and digital services for Commencement Bank, referring to its recent adoption of the provider’s core.
“But given that our experience with Allied has been so positive, we very much wanted to stay with them,” Ott adds. “We love the interface, the support, and the experiences we’ve had with Allied, and our customers love the tool as well.”
Following the bank’s recommendation, CSI has now agreed to allow the integration.
“We were honoured to have Commencement Bank show its support for Allied by convincing CSI to integrate with our solutions,” comments Jeff Harper, Allied’s chief revenue officer. “I can’t think of a higher compliment. We think of our customers as partners, and this shows that our approach is yielding positive results.”
Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Allied currently enables 500 financial institutions across 49 US states with real-time digital payment solutions, including the 40 new clients it claims to have onboarded this year.
Allied reports that it processed over $3.6 billion in payments last year, with its forecast growth being further supported by a string of new senior appoints, including James Dixon to chief information security officer (CISO) and Kathi Klawitter to chief operating officer (COO).
