WealthKernel confirms Aqsa Tariq as new chief financial officer
Aqsa Tariq has been named as the new chief financial officer (CFO) of the digital investment infrastructure provider WealthKernel.
With “extensive financial and investment experience”, Tariq will seek to increase the company’s growth through the execution of its financial strategy in what the company describes as a “fundamental role”.
She will be tasked with “improving WealthKernel’s ongoing processes and organisational procedures to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity”.
Tariq previously exercised her ability in growth strategy development as group head of business intelligence for FNZ Group, a provider of wealth management services, from September 2020 to August 2023.
Within the role, she developed and implemented the necessary reporting infrastructure for the group and reportedly played a “pivotal role” in board reporting.
She has also previously served as an associate for Goldman Sachs International between October 2017 and September 2020, and as a senior auditor for EY LLP for four years prior to this.
Reflecting on her latest appointment at WealthKernel, Tariq says she intends to “build upon its infrastructure to achieve sustainable growth, ensure compliance and develop data-driven strategies”.
Adding to this, Karan Shanmugarajah, the company’s CEO, says Tariq’s experience in financial strategy will “be a catalyst in driving WealthKernel’s vision forward”.
Founded in 2015 and based in London, UK, WealthKernel is a B2B vendor of investment infrastructure offering compliance and distribution-as-a-service to other companies looking to offer their own digital investment services.
The company previously appointed Brian Schwieger to board chair and non-executive director, and Michael Rigby to chief compliance officer.
