Lloyds Banking Group customers can now lease a car via mobile app
Lloyds Banking Group has launched its new offering, which allows Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland customers to lease a car via their mobile banking apps.
Through its specialist brand Lex Autolease, customers can research and review options that suit their budget, choose a customised leasing option and check their financial eligibility before locking down a contract. Customers can choose from over 4,000 car models, which includes 16% electric vehicles and 27% hybrid vehicles.
Lloyds Banking Group claims it is the first UK bank to launch such an offering, which is now available to 11 million personal current account customers.
“Our new online car leasing journey demonstrates how we are responding to customers’ desire for more control and flexibility in managing their money,” says Nick Williams, transport managing director at Lloyds Banking Group.
Williams adds that the latest offering also delivers on the Group’s broader sustainability commitments.
“By offering a wide range of lower emissions vehicles, we are working towards removing barriers to accessibility and affordability of usership,” he adds.
