German fintech Moss taps GoCardless to power its UK push
German fintech and spend management start-up Moss has chosen GoCardless to power its push into the UK market.
The London-based bank payment company is to act as a UK direct debit provider to Moss in an effort to further the international footprint of its corporate card and spend management solution.
The fintech’s solution extends to the automation of month-end administrative tasks for SMB finance teams. This is with the intention of eliminating manual tasks, including “the burden of making payments”.
Integrating GoCardless direct debit into this process is projected to further automate corporate card management for Moss’ customers, from expense payments to repaying balancing and accounting.
Its newfound partnership with the bank payment company is expected to provide Moss with further back-end assistance. Given that it doesn’t charge interest of late payments while also supporting credit limits of up to
£2.5 million per month, Moss has cited the need for “a reliable method to collect large amounts on a regular basis”.
Thus the selection of GoCardless will enable Moss to benefit from automatic collections, further stamping out the need to pursue late payments.
The move comes as the Berlin-based company, which currently supports around 2,220 SMB clients, continues to gain momentum in the UK, its third international market.
Reflecting on its selection of GoCardless, Moss CEO, Ante Spittler says the company “removes one more point of friction for our customers, and helps fulfil our ethos of using automation to help SMBs save time and money”.
Adding to this, Alexandra Chiaramonti, VP and general manager, EMEA at GoCardless, describes Moss as “a dynamic European start-up” and that her company expects “to play a pivotal role in its expansion plans”.
