Brite Payments announces two new appointments to its C-suite
Brite Payments has restructured its leadership with a newly-appointed chief operating officer (COO) and chief financial officer (CFO).
The Swedish fintech, which offers businesses instant payments and payout solutions via open banking, has brought on board Alexander Kassai as COO and Fredrik Strömqvist as CFO.
Kassai will work to lead the company’s operational functions, including the scaling of its operational teams, through leveraging his decade-long industry experience.
His experience includes serving as CIO to the Scandinavian healthcare provider Aleris, and later, leading global merchant support for lending giant Klarna.
“In light of Brite’s rapid growth, I will be focused on how technology, including process automation, can support our further expansion,” comments Kassai.
As CFO, Strömqvist’s appointment places him with the responsibility of developing and maintaining relationships between Brite and a network of different banks, as well as shaping the strategic direction of the company.
His 15-year career history in the financial sector includes various positions at Oliver Wyman, Skandia, SBAB and DLL, and more recently as interim CFO of the Nordic foreign exchange bureau Forex.
Strömqvist cites Brite’s finance function as “crucial to supporting our local operations” and “a key driver of our growth”.
These two appointments succeed the near doubling of Brite’s headcount in 2022 and the introduction of its instant payments network (IPN) in May of this year.
