Platinum Federal Credit Union taps Jack Henry for Symitar platform
Missouri-based Platinum Federal Credit Union (PFCU) has tapped banking tech heavyweight Jack Henry & Associates to support the credit union’s local Shia Ismaili Muslim community.
The credit union has deployed Jack Henry’s Symitar platform which will allow the firm to offer business payment services including ACH, wire transfers and entitlements, while improving cash management and workflows via automation.
The open banking platform will enable members to view their complete financial picture, including information from outside the credit union and members’ expenses will also be categorised, providing them with a bird’s-eye-view of their spending habits.
PFCU also plans to implement Jack Henry’s real-time embedded payments and debit and credit card management solutions.
Launched in 1999, PFCU has more than 10,000 members and serves the financial needs of the Shia Ismaili Muslim community. Its members include small businesses that support the local community.
PFCU CEO Kabir Laiwalla says: “By providing a holistic financial view, we can prepare members to make more informed and healthy financial decisions.
“As a result, this collaboration with Jack Henry will allow PFCU to scale our services while becoming the centre of our account holders’ financial lives.”
