Meniga appoints Dheeraj Soni as its new CEO
Meniga, a UK-based digital banking software provider, has appointed Dheeraj Soni as its new CEO, effective 1 June 2023.
Soni, a “growth specialist”, replaces Simon Shorthose, who had joined the firm in August last year. Shorthose’s “highly successful” tenure included a focus on transformation, streamlining the organisation, improving financial stability and the firm’s customers.
Bringing a decade’s worth of work experience serving in senior roles in B2B and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) fintechs, Soni will be tasked with overseeing the next phase of Meniga’s “long-term growth and expansion strategy”.
Soni joins from mobile payments platform TPAY Mobile, where he served as chief operating officer (COO), overseeing product growth, market expansion, customer acquisitions and global and strategic partnerships.
Prior to TPAY Mobile, Soni served as president and chief commercial officer (CCO) at digital payments business Docomo Digital, where he was responsible for the expansion into LatAm, APAC, EMEA, and North America, among other responsibilities.
“Meniga has digitally enabled some of the largest global banks to help them drive end user engagement,” Soni says, adding that in his new role, the company will aim to “build new solutions to meet the digital challenges for major banks and financial institutions around the world”.
Founded in 2009 and headquartered in London, Meniga offers white-label digital banking solutions with products including personal finance management, carbon insight services, automated real-time notifications, predictive analytics and personalised engagement technologies.
