JP Morgan Chase appoints new chief data and analytics officer
JP Morgan Chase has appointed Teresa Heitsenrether as its new chief data and analytics officer, according to a report by Bloomberg.
Heitsenrether has been with the US banking giant since the beginning of her career in 1987, serving in several senior leadership roles. Since 2015, she has been serving as global head of securities services.
In a memo shared with staff seen by both Bloomberg and Reuters, the bank announced several leadership changes, adding that the appointments are effective immediately. In her new role, Heitsenrether will be responsible for leading the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) across the bank’s operations.
“Using AI technologies effectively and responsibly to develop new products, drive customer engagement, improve productivity and enhance risk management will be a top priority,” Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan, writes in the memo.
Reuters reports that Tim Fitzgerald will replace Heitsenrether as the new global head of securities services.
Based in Dublin, Ireland, Fitzgerald has worked with JP Morgan for over seven years, most recently serving as global head of custody and fund services. He has previously worked at Deutsche Bank Fund Services and Goldman Sachs.
