Eastnets migrates Swift and sanctions screening infrastructure to Microsoft Azure
Compliance and payments solutions provider Eastnets has migrated its Swift and sanctions screening infrastructure for the Americas to Microsoft Azure.
The move comes after the firm announced it would enable financial institutions to connect to its network and applications through public cloud providers.
Eastnets claims it is “responding to the increasingly complex and rapidly evolving financial landscape” and is one of the first Swift bureaus to migrate its full infrastructure for the Americas to the cloud.
Utilising Swift on Azure, Eastnets says banks can manage increasing regulatory and cybersecurity challenges surrounding payments, sanction screening and fraud detection, as well as retain flexibility to keep on top of their digital transformation initiatives.
The cloud service will also enable Eastnets “to create, launch, deliver and update” tailored solutions at speed as well as provide timely customer assistance to the more than 300 credit unions, central banks, tier 1 banks, de novo banks and money services businesses (MSBs) on its roster.
